SurgeTick is an AI consultancy for local service businesses, HVAC, plumbing, restoration, dental, legal, and other appointment-driven companies, that helps them get named by ChatGPT and Google AI, answer every call, and stop leaking revenue to slow follow-up. Founded by Edem Agbley. Two ways to start: a free 15-minute AI Revenue Audit, or the Found-First Visibility Audit, a 48-hour test of whether AI assistants name you at all.

What does an AI consultant actually do for a local business?

Two jobs: make sure customers can find you, and make sure you do not lose the ones who do. Everything else is detail.

The first job changed recently. Google searches ended without a click 68% of the time in the US over the first four months of 2026, up from 60% in 2024 (SparkToro), and when someone asks an assistant who to hire they get one answer naming two or three companies, not ten links. If you are not in that answer, you never learn what you lost. We cover the mechanics in why customers can’t find your business in AI search.

The second job has not changed at all, it has just gotten easier to fix. Calls go to voicemail. Leads sit for six hours. Estimates never get followed up. These are the same five leaks in almost every service business, and they are now cheap to close.

Who is SurgeTick for?

Local service businesses where customers ask “who should I call” before they call, and where a missed call is a lost job, not a lost click.

Home services is where most of our work is: HVAC, plumbing, septic and private sewage, water damage restoration, tree service, foundation repair, roofing, and funeral homes. The same systems work for any appointment-driven business, and we work with dental practices, chiropractors, and law firms on exactly the same two problems. A chiropractor losing after-hours calls and an HVAC company losing after-hours calls have the same leak.

The fit is best between roughly $500K and $5M a year, big enough that a leak costs real money, small enough that there is no marketing department already on it.

How does the Found-First Visibility Audit work?

We run 96 questions across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Claude, the questions your customers actually ask in your market, and record whether you get named, where, and whether what is said about you is accurate. You get a score against the competitors currently being recommended, screenshots of every answer, and a prioritized fix list. 48 hours from order.

How does the AI Revenue Audit work?

It is a 15-minute diagnostic of five places service businesses leak money: call handling, speed-to-lead, booking, reviews, and follow-up automation. We look at what your business does today in each one and tell you which leak is costing the most. Two ways to run it, both free. Run the five-pillar audit yourself and get your results on the spot, then book a discovery call if you want to go deeper on what it found. Or start with the call: a 15-minute discovery call walks through the same five pillars with you.

What do you build after the audit?

Only what the audit said was leaking. In practice that is usually one of four things:

AI voice agents

They answer every call, day or night, and book the job instead of taking a message. How they compare to a receptionist.

Follow-up automation

A lead gets a response in minutes instead of hours, and an unclosed estimate gets chased.

Review systems

Every finished job gets asked, because recent detailed reviews are what answer engines actually read.

Website and structured data work

Your business becomes machine-readable and your information matches everywhere it appears.

You are not obligated to have us build any of it. The audit findings are yours either way, and the first fixes are usually free ones you can do yourself.
